Personal from the start.
Gut Instinct grew from our founder Chris’s personal experience. After developing gut health problems in 2005 following an illness while travelling, he went on to struggle with chronic fatigue. It started a long journey of trying to understand the connection between digestion, energy and how we feel.
Along the way, he became fascinated by the gut–brain axis and the role that everyday nutrition can play in people’s lives. It was a turning point, and an idea began to form: why not make food and drink that people genuinely love, with thoughtful ingredients at its heart?
A new chapter
Gut Instinct first brought products to market in 2019. The business faced a difficult start when the pandemic arrived just months later. But the idea never went away.
Today, we’re building Gut Instinct with a clearer sense of purpose: great-tasting functional food and drink, made with your gut in mind. Soda is our first chapter — and definitely not the last.
Born in Wales. Built for everywhere.
We’re proud of our South Wales roots. Our ambition is to create something distinctively ours that people everywhere can discover, enjoy and make part of their everyday lives.
